Default Dyeing dervish primeval armor: help?

So I just purchased the Primeval armor for the female dervish and as most other people would, I want to dye it.
But unfortunately for me the colors are very dull and dark and that's not very pretty and I want a bright, vibrant, red-orange.
I have tried mixing in white and silver, but that grays out the color.
Also adding more oranges and reds didn't make it light.
And obviously black... yeah. Doesn't work.
You can ask why I bought it then, but that's a stupid question as I have already bought it and I want to dye it.

Anyway, does anybody know how to make bright colors on this armor?

i think that since primeval is always naturally dull. some armors dye brighter than others, (most metallics) and some armors dye dull (most cloths)

its made of bone, or transformer(cant remember) but yeah it will always come out dull, the best you COULD do is a yellow-ish gold.

You're not going to be able to get a bright, vibrant color with Primeval armor. It's a rather dark armor that dyes in muted colors the best.

You can get a nice golden orange with red, brown, and two orange dye, though. If you went with two red, a brown, and an orange it would probably be a bit more vibrant.

Also keep in mind that the armor (the leggings/skirt in particular) tend to dye in a gradient. That also effects how it looks.

One of the things about dervish primeval armor is that it's not that dark, but the fish bones make it seem that way. Oh, and I think you should apply a base of orange before dying, since more than one dye appears to also use the previous color.
